But I want to watch my pirated films... I mean my backed up films... damn it!
You may have heard recently that a new 360 dashboard update is in the works and it may, just may, bring USB memory support with it. A nice addition in anyone's books and one gamers with the tiny 20 gb hard drives will likely thank their lucky stars for, but what about the rest? Sure, we've got Facebook and Twitter, but Microsoft could do so much ...
Has Microsoft been a little short sighted?
Whatever your views on the two rival consoles are at the moment, it's safe to say that the major difference between the 360 and the PS3 is the fact that Microsoft's console lacks the storage space that Bluray provides. In terms of technical capabilities both the PS3 and the 360 are on a pretty level pegging but as the console generation stretches into the distance, with no end in sight, will Microsoft eventually start feeling ...
X360 wishes you a happy holiday and wants to know how you'd rate the year that was 2009
As 2009 comes to a close it's time to take a look back over the year and come to lots of arbitrary and probably useless conclusions. But we'll discuss it nonetheless because at the beginning of last year we had a very different perception of the videogames industry than we do right now. For one thing, we thought 2009 would top 2008, it didn't. ...
I want to watch Gavin And Stacey on my 360, now!
If the idea of streaming the BBC iPlayer to your 360 sounds like a little slice of fried gold then you may be in store for a crushing disappointment. The talks between Microsoft and the BBC have stalled as the two debate whether or not it should be a charged for service. Microsoft wants to offer it to all Gold Live members, as it does most of its premium content, in ...
You don't need Blu-ray... according to Microsoft
Rumours resurfaced recently surrounding a Blu-ray add-on for the 360 that would bring it pretty much in line with what the major competition offers. These rumours were quickly dashed by Microsoft's mouthpiece Major Nelson on his blog, and it's clear that the big M is angling the 360 much more heavily towards digital downloads and the streaming of hi-def content.
And that's all well and good too, if it's movies you're interested in, but games still ...
Halo 3: ODST ships 2 million units, that's a lot of nuts!
Halo 3: ODST has managed to ship a staggering 2 million units in the few days it’s been on sale. That’s worldwide mind you, but something Microsoft and Bungie should be very proud of. To put it in perspective ODST managed to reach the 2 million mark over the course of a few days, while PS3 exclusive Killzone 2 has only managed to sell around that number full stop. That’s ...
If we lived in a perfect world here’s what we’d do…
Making the choice over what console to purchase is a big deal. It’s usually a hard choice to make and will define the sorts of gaming experiences you have over the course of the generation. Some people are lucky (read: greedy) and buy everything, but the majority of people don’t have that luxury. Even though Microsoft has done a stellar job making sure the 360 is home to the most comprehensive list of games - thank you for Final Fantasy ...
