I can’t take it any more. I have absolutely had it up to here [points to top of own head] with bonus game content. And I mean bonus content of all types. I mean bonus in-game content, whether it’s DLC, pre-order content or special edition content. I tend not to use the word ‘conundrum’ if I can help it (it reminds me of the end of Countdown), but DLC hasn’t yet evolved to the point where its release – no matter how significant, like GTA IV’s Lost and Damned pack – is hyped to the same degree as the major release of a game

With Left 4Dead 2 creeping ever closer to release now would be a good time for Valve to release the promised DLC for their original breakout zombie shooter

With news leaking out early that LucasArts is planning further DLC for last year’s Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, to presumably be announced at this month’s increasingly less comic-oriented San Diego Comic-Con, I thought it was time to re-examine the way DLC is distributed (in less than 500 words, because I have other stuff to do today)
