Our morning has been pretty busy today. Not with the machinations of keeping the UK's Bestselling Independant Xbox 360 magazine running smoothly, oh no. Instead, we've been chewing over the Sonic 4 video that briefly appeared…
Before the doors are even open, we're learning of some new juicy games...
In an interview over on IGN, THQ CEO Brian Farrell (phew) has come over all game happy and confirmed that we will indeed be seeing sequels to some of the publishers biggest games of last year. That means Saints Row 3, a new Red Faction and even the Russia invades America (yet again!) Homefront.
Not a bad line-up all things considered but it's interesting that he doesn't confirm Red Faction ...
Don't listen to reviews... they're probably wrong anyway
According to an interview with Square Enix, FFXIII developers recently released (on CVG.com) explains they try not to listen to game critics too much. Producer Yoshinori Kitase explained that many critics view the first half of the game to be 'too liner' but ignores the criticism explaining that FFXIII is attempting to tell a story and a liner narrative is the best way to draw gamers into the world. Makes sense when you ...

How to split an audience down the middle...
For audiences across the pond in North America who pre-order Lost Planet 2, Capcom and Gamestop will throw in the maniacal Albert Wesker as a wonderful playable character. To complete the insanity of the cross pollination between not only Gears Of War and Lost Planet 2, they've now thrown in Resident Evil 5. That's a lot of modern day gaming heroes to fight the Akrid with and as X360 found out recently when we ...
Microsoft's promotional arm seems to know no restraint. Not content with accepting the calendar as it is, they seem to have taken to renaming the very seasons themselves according to what Live Arcade games are out at the time…
Exactly what happened to Frank?
More news from X10 and Capcom revealed that Xbox 360 owners will be able to play an exclusive DLC prologue that bridges the gap between the original and the impending sequel. Apparently, it will fill in a few blanks and in true zombie fashion set up Capcom's bloody sequel. Called Dead Rising: CASE ZERO it has yet to be given a release date but expect it sometime before Dead Rising 2's release on August 31 2010.
Where's my copy of ODST!!!!
Bungie has finally announced the release date for its much anticipated Halo: Reach multiplayer beta and those wanting to get in on the action should make sure they keep May 3 2010 free. Now, where's that stupid dog?
X10 has kicked off and Microsoft celebrated with Peter Molyneux finally unveiling Fable III to the world. Showing the crowds of baying journalists at X10 the first footage, it's clear Fable III isn't quite the revelation Molyneux had hinted at with his 'all lot of people are going to be pissed' talk. Albion is looking very Dickensian though and the gameplay demo highlighted just how different the gameplay is attempting to be.
With Natal being used to add ...
Please, no more we can't take another...
Despite garnering some of the worst reviews of the year (just take a look at Metacritic if you don't believe us) Activision is adamant its peripheral based skateboarder was just a miss understood product. Tony Hawk's: Ride will be making an unwelcome return late in 2010 and making us all question exactly why we play games in the first place. If one game didn't deserve a sequel...
Though it seemed like an excellent balance of game ...
So, it seems that racing titles without some sort of magical and/or bandwagon hopping gimmick can prove to be successful?
The best childhood toy ever... bar none
It seems TT Games is far from done working with the Lego licence and as news of yet another Star Wars spin off and as Lego Harry Potter shows its hand, it could not be a better time to be a fan of the small plastic building blocks. The newly announced Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars will take its inspiration from the animated movie/TV series of the kid friendly take on the worlds most ...
Those of you out there who have followed my monthly scribblings through the pages of X360 will be aware that RPGs haven't exactly, shall we say, floated my boat, as a rule…
After Capcom recently mentioned that it would generate new IP in Japan, from now on, as a result of Dark Void bombing at retail, it makes me wonder how long it'll be before all Japanese publishers rethink their pro-Western development philosophies.
