Ubisoft Delays Splinter Cell: Conviction And Others

Awwww man!

If you were looking forward to Ubisoft’s upcoming titles, Splinter Cell: Conviction and R.U.S.E you may want to reschedule your calendar as both have been pushed back until April. Ubisoft revealed the details in this press release:

“The postponed release dates for Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction™ and R.U.S.E™, which were previously scheduled for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2009-10, and will now be released in fiscal year 2010-11. Splinter Cell Conviction™ is now expected to hit the stores in April 2010.”

Bad news for fans and the reasons are unclear, perhaps Ubisoft are reluctant to go up against Bioshock and Bad Company 2, hardly the stiffest of competition considering Conviction has been in the works for a few years now.
