The News In Brief: Left 4 Dead and Lara Croft Way?

Hot off the press… not really

Two stories caught my eye today so I thought I’d double them up and give a sort of rundown to the news. First to catch my eye was the news that Valve’s Left 4 Dead 2 has managed to shift around 2 million units, surpassing what the original game sold. That’s pretty impressive considering so many people had their hearts set on boycotting Valve… Oh wait, that’s right, they were wrong. Where are the naysayers now? Being quiet and playing the amazing Left 4 Dead 2: that’s where. What a fuss about nothing.

Lara Croft Way?

In what is a fantastic piece of news, Derby City Council is asking online users to vote in a poll to name a new ring road. Among the usual boring names is nestled Lara Croft Way. Now that the news has hit it’s pretty much certain what’s going to get the most votes, but if you still fancy voting yourself just click here and Lara Croft will soon be a feature of the British countryside.
