Six-Year Plan For Halo
More Halo

More Halo?
With the news that Halo 3: ODST did very well at retail, managing to shift something in the region of 2 million units, Microsoft has been rumoured to have a six-year plan for the franchise. In reality, it’s hardly surprising that Microsoft would treat the Halo franchise with delicate hands; after all, it doesn’t want to saturate the market. A steady release of content, be it games, books, comics or even the new anime movies shows that Bungie and Microsoft are keen to keep fans happy with a trickle of awesomeness as opposed to a wave of mediocre Halo content.

At least it shows there can be some restraint from Microsoft. The Halo universe is ripe for milking across all sorts of platforms. We’ll bet money that within the six-year plan there’s a Halo live-action movie at some point. The anime films are all well and good, but a live-action Chief? That would really make the fanboys happy, but would probably only make a mediocre sci-fi film. Shame Neill Blomkamp left the project – after watching District 9 it’s clear he has an eye for sci-fi with a twist.
