Modern Warfare 2 Back To Call Of Duty

Modern Warfare 2 has officially changed its name back to Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

In what has to be the most un-shocking news of the year, Activision has re-re-branded the Call Of Duty series. It was a curious choice to leave the name as simply Modern Warfare 2 after all the COD series has a huge following so it seems sensible that the name would prevail throughout the series.

Regardless of the name swapping we’re pretty sure fans of this series are aware a sequel to Modern Warfare is hitting shops later in the year. They’re tried their best to confuse us but we’re onto them. It’ll take more than a name change to stop us getting our COD on. Why they didn’t just leave it as part of the Call Of Duty series in the first place is beyond us. Distancing itself has only really damaged the brand (though admitedly not that much).

This is still going to be awesome. We hope.
