Mass Effect 2 Getting Day One DLC… For Free!
That’s right, more Mass Effect for no more monies

That’s right, more Mass Effect for no more monies!
For those of you that get scared at the sight of DLC prices, Bioware has tweeted some fantastic news for Mass Effect fans. Pick up Mass Effect on day one and download some DLC straight off the bat… for free.
“BioWare will not be charging extra for any new Mass Effect 2 content on launch day.”
Isn’t that nice of them, shame they couldn’t have done that with the DLC for Dragon Age, that stuffs expensive! Perhaps Bioware are more confidant that Mass Effect 2 will find a larger audience despite Dragon Age being a surprise hit and X360 favourite. Having said that, they only stated they won’t charge for content on day one. What if they don’t have any content coming out on day one?!

There is DLC on day one, there is going to be another squadmate for free on release, an extra planet is rumoured but not confirmed as well. Basically every new copy of Mass Effect 2 will include a ‘Cerberus Network Card’. This card is a one-time use item that once activated will give players the additional squadmate and periodically give players free armour and weapons, as is my understanding.
