An original game from LucasArts will be revealed on this week’s Game Trailers TV, according to host Geoff Keighley’s Twitter feed. I have an inkling – let’s say, a guess, in case I look stupid in a few days – of what that might be.In the book Rogue Leaders, by Rob Smith, which is a history of LucasArts from its conception until the late Jim Ward era, there’s a paragraph in the conclusion about an original IP from the company. In the book, it specified that writers from the TV shows Lost and Heroes were involved, the eventual creation possibly being ‘the future of videogames’. If this is it, I wouldn’t be too surprised – with no other announcements surrounding this, it’ll garner a lot of attention. Now we play the waiting game.
