Let’s Get Excited About… Red Dead Redemption

If there is one game coming next year that has garnered unanimous praise from literally everyone in the office, it’s Red Dead Redemption. We had a cowboy fix earlier in the year with the excellent Call Of Juarez 2, but Red Dead is looking like Rockstar are working the same sort of magic they did with GTA IV. This is going to be something very special… if Rockstar can deliver that is.

From these screenshots alone it’s easy to see where Rockstar have looked for inspiration, but with a huge world filled with interesting characters we’re bound to find that Rockstar will weave a thrilling tale. With the choice to ride out into the sunset framed with some no doubt fantastic music, this could really be the cowboy game we’ve been waiting for… since we were five years old.

What’s the general opinion on Red Dead Redemption, are we right to be excited as we are or will this be as mediocre as the original?
