Let’s Get Excited About… Lost Planet 2

It’s that time again. It’s time to get a little bit excited about a game coming in the near future…

Well, it’s sort of ‘in the near future’, but ever since Capcom released footage of its sequel we can’t help but feel that this is going to improve on practically every aspect. Even if you found the mechs to be a bit… well… mech-heavy, the combination of on-foot shooting, massive monsters and now co-op play should see most gamers tip their hats in appreciation.

All the new elements are well and good, but it’s the drop dead gorgeous visuals that really help Lost Planet 2 stand out from the crowd. At a time where Avatar is promising full-on 3D graphics, this is looking like it’s popping right out of the screen anyway. Truly eye-watering.

With huge gameplay, a jungle, enormous monsters and a completely off-the-wall story, Lost Planet 2 gets a thumbs-up. What about everyone else? Opinions please…
