Gamescom 2011: Still No Xbox 360 Battlefield 3 Gameplay
Will we ever see Battlefield 3 running on the 360 before it’s released in 72 days?
Once again, DICE releases yet another slam-dunk of a trailer for Battlefield 3, this time focusing on the huge 64 player multiplayer battles, and we’re left wondering, where is the Xbox 360 gameplay hiding? Journalists have been getting hands on at Gamescom, but not on the 360…
The PS3 has been showcasing the new co-op campaign and has been visible in playable form for some time now, but for those of us waiting for a glimpse of the game running on Microsoft’s hardware, well, we’ve been left wanting. And for a game so close to release, should we still be in the situation of speculating when it comes to graphical capabilities and comparisons to the next-gen bordering PC version? Has anyone got a realistic idea how Battlefield 3 will look and run on the 360?
No, but it’s also curious that so many of us are getting excited about Battlefield’s new trailers when they so clearly represent PC gameplay and not console. We’re all for hype and excitement, but we can’t shake the feeling that we’re setting ourselves up for a fall. For one, we’ve never had a modern game with as many players as what’s being displayed in the trailer (Black Hawk Down doesn’t count) and we’re left scratching our heads; are we ever going to see an accurate representation of Battlefield 3 on the 360? Why has no one even seen an early build running?
Chances are, DICE is just hard at work making sure Battlefield 3 looks its best and will more than likely offer one of the most visually impressive experiences of the year. But, until we’ve seen it with are own eyes (or anyone else’s eyes for that matter) we’ll take a cautiously optimistic approach to any video displaying awesome gameplay and incredible statistics.

This website is concerned about why they’re not seeing any 360 gameplay for Battlefield 3. What i wanna know is, where the hell is the PS3 gameplay for MW3!?!? Hhmmmmm………
I own an alienware Aurora (spec’d to hell) plus a own a 360, I did own a ps3 until the psn issues recently,
I love fps games, I play all Cods on 360 as that’s where my friends play,
Cod 4 is 5* until hackers ruined it
WaW comes in 2nd until hackers ruined it
Black ops is pretty good
Mw2 is equally as good,
I play bfbc2 on pc and console
Arma2 + add ons on pc are amazing games if only they released an easier matchmaking system and put it on consoles!
Bf 3 is pre ordered on both pc and 360, I too am worried at the lack of footage for both consoles, as iv seen no multiplayer on ps3,
I have friends on pc and I’m exited for it but I’m somewhat sceptical of the ps3 and console to run a large scale battle with airborne vehicles etc in consoles, I ain’t a big fan of bfbc2 but loved the original bf2 (even on 360)
I can see the console players getting the shaft, I truly hope not as I prefer a controller over a mouse and kb, and I like the party system on the 360, that way I don’t have to listen to stupid ass children doing stupid ass immature shit on a game,
I love cod but it has been ruined by stupid kids, corner campers, quickscoping, noob tube scavengers,
I know mw3 will be full of annoying children on 360 but ill buy it anyway,
I just sincerely hope to god the console version (moreso the 360 in my case) is comparable in scale to the pc version as this is my game of the year, hopefully the stupid kids won’t play it or can’t play their silly games and ruin everyone else’s experience on 360, as for pc I just hope my mousing ability is enough to be compedetive, and good controller support as a fallback for me!
I am very worried about battlefield 3 on xbox 360, probably not going to get it seeing as the console version is practicly bad company 2 with jets, probably won’t look much better either, graphicly, also “For one, we’ve never had a modern game with as many players as what’s being displayed in the trailer (Black Hawk Down doesn’t count) ” what are you talking about 64 players on pc and only 24 on consoles. there are dozens of games recently released with more players especially when compared to the console version. homefront, i think killzone and resistence games have more too, mag just to name a few
I have been searching every day for some news on the footage for the 360 version to no avail… its seems to me that anyone in the gaming inner circle are not asking the question direct to DICE… why no 360 footage. The 360 has more pre-orders than the PS3 version & if the game lacks the punch & shear I have just S***T my shorts feeling we are all expecting, then there’s going to be a lot of really nerf’d off gamers out there. But wait a moment… I had a thumb through the just issued Xbox 360 mag, great some info some 360 pic’s… but all the pics, to me, looked to be strait from the PC gameplay. This really ticked me off, in fact I felt like getting a hold of DICE & kicking the living… well you get the rest. All in all I’m not happy. Get the finger out DICE before you start losing COD gamers looking to make the change!!
