Facebook might ruin your life

If you’re anything like the majority of people (including us) you’ll spend at least a few minutes each day checking your facebook profile.
It’s just one of those things that has to be done. You never know, you may have been invited to an awesome party. It could happen! Problem is, with social networking sites like Facebook you generally present a somewhat warped view of yourself. You know, you put up your best picture and say you like to watch art house movies and go to the theatre, when in reality you won’t even watch a musical, hate films unless something (anything) blows up and spend most of your time playing games. We’ve all done it.
Now, Facebook is an excellent way of looking your best online, but when Microsoft updates Live to include the social network you know what it’s going to say on Friday night when you’re having you World At War six hour marathon? It’ll say your at home playing a game and not out meeting real people (and let’s not beat around the bush, girls). Your friends will be getting ready for a night out and up dating their profile saying how excited they are. Then they’ll see you playing on Live. They’ll go out till two, get in a bit pissed sign in and you know what? You’ll still be there, still playing. Do we really need Facebook? I think not.
We need to keep these worlds separate!

Worrying thoughts. Although it is only female friends that don’t have xboxes anyway, anyone else would know if I was playing whatever. It doesn’t make a difference either way. My days are consisting of Facebook and games anyway. I’m generally either on one or the other.
…which is a sad existence.
