Duke Nukem: Can he survive a nuking?

I’m sure you’re now all aware that the ever so long and protracted development of Duke Nukem Forever has finally come to an end as 3D Realms closes its doors. It’s a sad thing to see but after 12 years of working on the aging title, 3D Realms really only had themselves to blame. We should all be thankful though, it’s been so long since they announced that a new revolutionary Duke game was on its way, that if it were ever to be released, we’d probably implode with excitement. FPS shooters have moved on a lot during the interim and it could only have been a let down. Though the footage that was leaked was actually pretty impressive I still think if Duke Nukem Forever ever made it to shelves it could only ever be disappointing.

Having said that, will a white knight come and rescue Duke from the abyss? Is there still an outside chance that this will make it to the 360… well your guess is as good as ours. But things aren’t looking hopeful. One day, we will find out exactly what happened to Duke Nukem Forever, but it won’t be for a long time.
