Bungie Leaves Some Clues To New IP
It might be in the early stages of development, but whatever Bungie is working on we’ve got some fascinating clues hinting at what it could be. Come on, come take a look, it really is very interesting…
Bungie’ seven steps to new IP mastery
We’ve been without Bungie related news for nearly six months now. Halo: Reach came and went and then the whole Activision deal went down (for better or worse) and then *puff*, it was gone. Gone to work on its new ‘ten year’ plan of a huge multi-IP, multi-genre sci-fi universe that will give players an unprecedented adventure coupled with that perfectly balanced gameplay. We were intrigued, but with nothing else to go on, it’s been difficult to postulate. Until now that is…
Bungie has trademarked a number domain names that could hint at the possible games to come in its massive IP splurge. Dead Orbit, Seven Seraphs, Osiris and New Monarchy were all registered by by the developer and hint at the possible titles to come. Or, are they faction names? They could be anything but they all sound suitably sci-fi, so that’s that theory confirmed.
Adding fuel to the speculation fire was the news that Bungie was also looking to hire a Senior Mobile Application Programmer who can “define the interface of Bungie’s next gaming universe”, whatever that means. How all encompassing is this universe going to be? Will we be playing it on our phones as well as our consoles?
What’s Bungie up to then? Any ideas? Let us know below if you do and we can all discuss what great games it’s going to make and how Activision will eventually ruin it – just kidding!
