Battlefront III doesn’t exist…yet
Know what I’m excited about more than anything
Know what I’m excited about more than anything? The possibility of a new Star Wars: Battlefront game. After a bunch of weird images of a ‘Dark’ Obi-Wan were leaked to various news outlets, earlier in the year, while footage of a proposed 3rd game in the series by Free Radical was released on YouTube, my anticipation was piqued. Sadly, it was at this time that Free Radical bit the dust – last week, though, LucasArts talked about the possibility of a new next-gen title in the series for the first time in ages.On last week’s GameTrailers TV, LucasArts president Darrell Rodriguez said that a next-gen Star Wars: Battlefront III was something they’d “consider in future”. Still, we can’t help but wonder what happened to the build of Battlefront III that may already exists – seamlessly traveling between ground, air and space certainly looked appealing.

If I’m not mistaken, most (if not all) of the stuff seen in the early leaked footage for Battlefront III was lost when Free Radical went under. Many of the ideas and story aspects for Battlefront III were however moved into the second PSP exclusive Battlefront game, Elite Squadron.
