Battlefield 1943 kicks ass, buy it nowThere’s something humbling about a company like EA taking one of their biggest franchises and releasing a smaller, but no less quality iteration of it over XBLA, especially at a time of year when nothing else is coming out. That’s what Battlefield 1943 is, and it kicks ass. Not an articulate way of putting it, but we are talking about a game where entire buildings can be levelled like polysterene. Battlefield 1943 is pretty much the exact type of arcade title you’d expect from EA. The production values are insane, considering it has the same destructive physics as last year’s Bad Company, but the game is still reasonably priced – at 1200 points with three maps, it’s difficult to complain, when they could quite easily have opted for the 1600 price and sold a shedload of copies regardless.

We’ve all made a pact to download the game, here on X360. Stop playing World At War, and join in!

It depends on the player. Some people in our office haven’t had problems with it – should be fixed in the next few days.
