Something very odd happened last night. As I’m often feign to do, FIFA 09 found a home in my disc drive, dedicated to my usual task – pouring misery on the top four by beating them as Stoke. Weirdly though, the latest online team update hadn’t so much proved a downturn, more a character assassination. The team was a whole star lower than Bolton Wanderers, for crying out loud. Distraught, I examined the Premier League to find both Derby and QPR in it. Do EA know something we don’t, or has the world of online football gone absolutely mad?
