Hey guys, regarding your halo-equivalents query, I think you’ll find that Project: Snowblind was the game whose ads claimed it to be ‘the first true halo-killer’. How many people even remember it now?

During the life of the original Xbox, a few titles tried to entice players from Halo including Goldeneye: Rogue Agent, Star Wars: Republic Commando and Pariah.

Years later Killzone 2 tried to take Halo 3s crown, again failing dismally.

These days we happily accept that several games can co-exist at the same time, with Modern Warfare 2, Halo 3, Bad Company 2, Gears 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 (dare I say Uncharted 2, as well?) finding a solid fanbase.

Of course, we are talking multiplayer now – in most cases the campaign is long forgotten, because it’s usually very linear and often feels too short. For longevity co-op modes should be compulsory as what changes campaign gameplay the most is how different partners react to each situation.

Anyway no real question in there, if it offers any kind of debate then job done!
