Marvel vs Capcom 2 Given Release Date

Capcom have finally announced a release date for the fan favourite Marvel vs Capcom 2: July 29th

It’s being released alongside Microsoft’s Summer Of Arcade promotion, so it’ll be released along with many other Xbox Live Arcade games of particular merit. This is certainly the crowning jewel in the summer of releases though and if this is a game that has so far passed you by you really owe it to yourself to check it out.

Fighting fans will find exactly what they want (that’ll be the Capcom side of things) and Marvel comic fans should be drooling over the comprehensive list of characters (Spider-man and Iron Man mmmmm). From fan favourites Spider-man, Hulk, Wolverine and Venom to obscure characters like Psylocke and Omega Red.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 will be on XBLA for the lovely price of 1200 Microsoft points but considering that it’d be a complete hassel trying to find a copy and a console to play it on, you’ll probably make money buying it. Well, not really, but every fight fan still deserves to pick up a copy and find out what happens when Marvel and Capcom fall out. Fight!
