Hei$t Di$appears…

After an extended period of, well, nothing, it has emerged that Codemasters have finally cancelled 60s criminal offering Hei$t. Though the official reason given for its canning wasn’t the terrible title, we’re inclined to believe otherwise. It’s a sad decision for the appropriately named inXile entertainment, whose idea seemed solid yet was backed by technology that looked, well, a little primitive.

The San Francisco-based shooter was to feature the criminal exploits of a gang of hardened robbers, challenging players to work out the most tactically sound ways of breeching a number of banks’ defences, then scarpering once the deed was done. Shame about that GTA, wasn’t it?
