Final Fantasy XIII Developer’s Aren’t Interested In Reviews
Don’t listen to reviews..
Don’t listen to reviews… they’re probably wrong anyway
According to an interview with Square Enix, FFXIII developers recently released (on CVG.com) explains they try not to listen to game critics too much. Producer Yoshinori Kitase explained that many critics view the first half of the game to be ‘too liner’ but ignores the criticism explaining that FFXIII is attempting to tell a story and a liner narrative is the best way to draw gamers into the world. Makes sense when you think about it, not every game has to be Fallout 3.
FFXIII director Motomu Toriyama also added that many critics are approaching the game with a ‘Western view point’ in mind and isn’t surprised many a finding flaws with it. It has to be said, FFXIII is JRPG through and through but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing, not when it looks this good.
