Fanboy Rage Over Alien vs Predator

Just stick your fingers in your ears…

It’s something everyone has to deal with online; opinion taken to the extreme and voiced with bitter, angry and often racist language. If you’re going engage in conversation with anyone on any website, theirs always a danger you’ll come across people with no regard to how they voice their opinions.

This has come to ahead recently with the release of Rebellion’s Alien vs Predator. A quick look at Metacritic will reveal that its received ‘mixed to average reviews’ but take a look at any of the comments from these reviews and you’ll find plenty of people calling into question the validity of the reviewers themselves and defending the game. The problem is one of trust, opinion is subjective but on some level many forumites forget this. I guess, it’s not a problem of voicing opinion, but one of how it’s voiced. That and the fact that no matter how much you want something to be good, if it’s not, there’s nothing you can do about. Don’t take it out on the person who told you, that’s plain mean. Don’t shoot the messenger and all that…
