Elder Scrolls Sequel Ages Off
It must be really difficult for developers of successful videogames

It must be really difficult for developers of successful videogames. As soon as their mega hit is off the cards people automatically assume that they’re working on the sequel and while that maybe the case it doesn’t necessarily mean they’re talking about it…
So, it always falls to people like Bethesda’s Pete Hines, who it seems spends the majority of his time telling people that an Elder Scrolls sequel is still a long way off, so stop asking! It must be especially annoying when Bethesda are trying to pimp new titles such as WET and Rogue Warrior. Granted, an Elder Scrolls sequel is infinitely more exciting than both of those games combined (though WET is looking pretty good), it still must get pretty tiresome.

Pete Hines went on to say that a sequel to the popular fantasy series was in the works (obviously), but we shouldn’t expect it for quite some time. We’d like to go on record now and say we don’t think we’ll see it until the next-gen of consoles comes along, whatever they may be. We’ll just have to keep playing Oblivion, or like Simon you could just lose 400 plus hours to it and rinse it for every quest it can give.

Booo. So a possible wait of at leats 3-4 years? Wit MS putting a lot of work into Natal, its hard to see the next wave of next gen consoles for some time in my opinion. Oblivion is one of the best if not the best titles on the 360. Hurry up Bethesda!
