I got about halfway through and though "why the hell am I playing this?" then I remembered I had no laptop and the tv reception was really bad. And I'd nothing else to play. Horrible game, especially once you end up on the islands.

Well, your opinion is obsolete because you hate everything.

This statement is in fact Incorrect. Tim loves God Hand and Devil May Cry 4. He doesn't like second rate out of date licensed games which rip off a GTA by a lazy *** developer/publisher trying to cash in on nostalgia for a film that is quite frankly rubbish .

So immediately every third person shooter is ripping off GTA?

It was far more enjoyable for me than the likes of San Andreas.

Er no.. But I think we can safely group certain free roaming crime based city dwelling in that mould.

I'm not saying you shouldn't have got enjoyment from it. I'm not even disputing Tim being a miserable git who doesn't like a lot (although he recently he has establish a deliciously dry sense of humour).

I am however saying that it probably wasn't under-rated as it wasn't very good or indeed original.

Scarface wasn't underrated, hell it wasn't even rated. I didn't know about it until a few weeks ago.
Of course, as ever, this is purely my opinion

What you're trying to say is Bob = Right Bear=Wrong. Yes?

Chronicles of Riddick FTW.

And yes Turtle, everybody that played TS2 did like it. My problem is that is should be better known. Of all the light-hearted, can-be-enjoyed-by-gamers-at-all-levels games, this is the best.

Best FPS ever.
Bob: Nah.. Bill Hicks is over rated.. A by product of being dead.

CuriousTurtle: They should release him on PS3, then you'd love him.

While Scarface is a movie tie-in game, the only similarities are the characters and the map. Since it starts from the end of the movie, only with Tony not dieing, it gives the developers endless oppertunities to make it a good game.

Oddworld: Munch's Oddysey was quite an underrated game, although nowhere near as good as Abe's Oddysey and Abe's Exodus.

Strangers Wrath a game so good and so under rated by the public that the guy doesn't even make games anymore.

I didn't really like Time Splitters 2 but by christ those crazy dudes at OPM2 loved it like Jacko loves Jordy.. They never stopped banging on about it for about 18 months..

I'm really tempted to try and track down a copy of Chronicles of Riddicl having enjoyed The Darkness so much (it is the same developer right?) anyone know if it's backwardly compatible?

I don't know whether it is BC, but it is made by Starbreeze.

Great game.

Nuff sed.
