"Most underrated games"

Postby Average Bear1 on Thu Feb 28, 2008 9:26 pm

Don't know if this has been suggested/done before, but anyways.

I was thinking that it would be pretty cool to see an article in the mag on the most underrated games. There are so many of them (such as E4 (xbla)) and it would maybe breathe some life back into the games.

Both fantastic games which are hardly mentioned now anywhere, and were largely bypassed when they were out.

I played E4 for what I thought would be a 10 minute break from my assignment last night. The session lasted 4 hours.

I just got addicted and the beat kept going and then I found out you can cycle through 20 different explosion sounds and enemy pictures. Very entertaining.

Managed to rack up 47337142 points. Pretty good compared to Matt's 432 points.

Although, I did get over 14 billion in the 5 minute mode, don't know why it didn't register.

Another underrated game. Scarface: The World Is Yours. Spent a solid week playing this on PS2. Halfway though I think. Have to buy this for 360.

Freedom Fighters certainly.

Is Scarface actually good?

My picks:

The Suffering + Suffering: Ties That Bind

Black

Kameo

Vigilante 8

Flatout

Dynamite Headdy

Blue Dragon! Not enough people played it from start to finish.

Enchanted Arms! I loved the battle system.

Viva Pinata! Everyone should worship this game.

John and I do. He sung the theme tune over a pm.

I must upload that voice recording...

It's an excellent game. It's pretty cheap as well. £20 in GAME last time I saw it.

I got about halfway through and though "why the hell am I playing this?" then I remembered I had no laptop and the tv reception was really bad. And I'd nothing else to play. Horrible game, especially once you end up on the islands.

Anyway! God Hand.

And it was an excellent game packed full of character. Sadly I put it down for a couple of days and then when I picked it up again couldn't remember what I was supposed to do next..

Bob: Nah.. Bill Hicks is over rated.. A by product of being dead.

CuriousTurtle: They should release him on PS3, then you'd love him.
