Touche!

All though this is less "where is it" and more "I'm playing it and this is what I think".

The missus downloaded it this morning and has been enjoying it, being a fan of the PC version as well.

I may give it a go, but it's not a priority. I've never felt like I'm missing much by having not played it.

Wasn't trying to put down the thread, merely point out that people are interested

May give the demo a try because although on paper virtual mining doesn't sound like a world of fun it does seem to have a lot of fans on PC and I'd kinda like to see what all the fuss is about.

I'm interested because it's different and it must have something if so many people play it.

Will I download it though. Maybe not.
If in doubt, put the kettle on.

1600 points has answered the question for me.

You could probably buy one of the old mines which Thatcher brought down around Barnsley for about that price and have a real one to play with.

Its the closest thing we can currently get on the Xbox to an old fashioned do as you please game like civilisation (civ rev doesnt count it sucks)

I have only just started but am very happy with spending 1600 points on it.

I've gave the trial a quick go now and while it's still Minecraft there's a lot of small problems that I'm finding annoying. All the hints and tutorials are really annoying. Yeah, they can be handy for some but I wish there was an option to turn them off. Also, wish there was an option so that the controls wouldn't show as part of the HUD. The mine button is constantly flashing on and off which is a pain. Not a fan of the new crafting system either.

Still, if it wasn't so expensive I would have still bought it though. Just not worth paying that much for an outdated version of a game I've already got and played loads. Multiplayer would have been fun but I'll be giving this a miss unless it gets a decent price cut in a sale.

Bought this for the girlfriend and I, thoroughly enjoying our time consuming experience with it so far. Not overly familiar with the PC version so I'm not noticing the missing features or differences for the console version, so just really getting into it.

So far we've built our own towering island (my instruction was to make it reminiscent of Pyke from GoT's) complete with quaint wee home and roof garden.

Played the trial for this and loved it so much I bought the full game (a rare occurrence as I'm not a big XBLA fan). First hour was great. Next hour was pretty good. By the third hour things had gotten boring and I had intended to warn off most of my friends, citing that it seemed a bit of a niche game. Then I played multiplayer. If you have a good group of people together for a bit of a mess about then this is brilliant fun. As a single player only game, my interest would quickly wane.

Still haven't played this - and am still in no hurry whatsoever to do so - but I will say this: the music is brilliant. Mrs VA has been playing for the last few hours and I've been sitting here writing and enjoying the soundtrack immensely. It's soothing, haunting and inspiring in equal measures and if it doesn't win any awards I'll be genuinely surprised.
