Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim

Tell the world what you think about the latest Xbox 360 releases

Yes mate, I'm playing it on PC. It's definitely one of the things I like most about playing on PC - it saves hours of frustration. You can even use the keyboard if you're playing with the 360 joypad on PC - the keyboard remains active so you can just jab F5. I quite liked using the joypad to control it, too.

Quicksave is such a handy time (and frustration!) saver I wonder why they don't implement something similar on the 360 through joypad alone. Obviously you wouldn't want to lose a button to it (there probably aren't any left anyway with something like Skyrim) but surely some kind of two-button combination would work - say Y + LB? Or perhaps a d-pad button plus RB?

I think, after a lot of research and looking at the logistics of using a console joypad when implementing the quicksave option they realised that it was only really suitable for girls and poofters.

Just had an epic fight with a dragon on top of Northwind Summit. By far the most difficult one I had to fight so far, pretty sure it was a white one. The bounty I get better be hefty! It took me a good two evenings play to find the bastard, mind you I did get distracted finding some blokes wife in a keep last night. Did my first finishing move on a dragon too, way cool.

The combat is a bit crap. I had a slightly less epic fight with a dragon where i was crouched and kept donking it on the nose when it landed.

Also some of the misc. quests are a bit to vague for my liking. Even when I go into the sub menu and high light a specific misc sub quest I can't find a pointer.. for instance I'm supposed to drop off some supplies for the grey beards.. can I find where to leave em? no, no I can't.

I do like how it fast travels you inside where you want to go. Which I'm fairly sure someone said wasn't technically possible.

It's a mixed bag so far.

Bob theres a flight of stairs to the door of the greybeards digs. Before those stairs is a box and assorted sundries. Leave the goods in the box

I thought it was a sack right in the middle of the two sets of stairs leading up to the greybeards temple? Fast travel to the greybeards look directly at the temple(I can't remember the name of the building so, temple) and right in the middle of the two sets of stairs there should be a sort of shrine. There should be a sack or chest there you can drop it off into.

That's what I thought he was referring to. It may be a bug.

Don't forget to turn any missions you're not following off. Cus that's a whole world a hurt, otherwise.

I think Bob needs to do a Codemasters, and only play racing games.

Hollywooda: Nope, I'm mostly enjoying it apart from teh combats a bit rubbish and the graphics aren't all that.

Pale: Yes.. I've done that and no marker appears.. hence my original post.

Everyone else: Yes.. I've tried to put it in that box and it wont let me...
