How can the second worst Indiana Jones film be the greatest film ever made?
If in doubt, put the kettle on.

By that reasoning, you rate The Temple of Doom or The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull higher? Areet then ....

Pffft. Theire quality declines from episode to episode.

So, The Last Crusade is at best the third best film ever made*

* Which it isn't.
If in doubt, put the kettle on.

It's easily the best of the Indy films. Most quotable, most fun, best set pieces...it's just the best in every way.

Maybe if you're MENTAL and think Sean Connery is not a hammy twit.
If in doubt, put the kettle on.

I agree with Clown.

I didn't think Crystal Skull was all bad.. but it wasn't great either.

It does, granted start off quite promising.. but, as is often they way these days, they up the scale and frequency of the set pieces, neglect the story telling and heart and make it over long.

What was great about the first film was the relative realism.. It looked like an adventure that could happen.

The first half where he escapes from a nuclear bomb in a fridge? That first half?
If in doubt, put the kettle on.

Lead fridge. I agree with the lads, and with what you pointed out Clown. Everything after the Nazi's and Nuke was genuinely interesting, then it went and ruined it all...

Well, the whole lead lined fridge thing is great, ignoring the fact that the radiation produced by said nuclear device would have easily penetrated (giggity) the fridge.

I loved the reference to it in New Vegas.

I've never seen an Indiana Jones film, nor do I ever want to.

So did you give up on the joys of life at an early age or is it a recent trend?
