Game of your childhood.

What game do you think best defines you childhood? Can you remember waking up/rushing home from school and being generally excited to plunge yourself into the new best thing?

For me it's definitely Klonoa, I was playing it the other day and it was possible the most nostalgic I have ever felt, I was generally shocked that I still knew my way around all the levels/controls etc.

Ultima. Absolutely Ultima.

Although Star Raiders, Double Dragon and Chucky Egg would come close.
If in doubt, put the kettle on.

Double Dragon in the arcade we where obsessed with because it offered such good value for money.

Personally it was probably Elite.

I wasn't bitten by the gaming bug until the PS2 and I was well into my 20's. But I have fond memories of that Star Wars game, Tetris and Sonic.
Although I think Sonic on the SEGA put me off for years, cus when it was finally completed I did feel an overwhelming sense of fuck all. It wasn't until Medal of Honour on the PS1 and GTA on the PS2 that I felt that the games I'd wanted to play where now a reality.

Mario 64 and Goldeneye are also up there for me. And prolly Majora's mask/Ocarina of time.

But yeah, overall it's Klonoa everytime.

Music 2000 swallowed a lot of my 20's. Wish I still had some of those tunes.

PAC-MAN.

Then spent most of my 20's doing the same thing in real life....

I've just remembered a brilliant cyberpunk game that I loved when I was about 23...

It was a fantastic game with a great story.

I'm suspicious. They were in my childhood and I'm 35.
