I do believe we gamers are being taken for a ride when it comes to our hobby. We all of us pay a premium to get the games while they're fresh, and it seems even this is not enough to companies like EA. who for a while tried to be the good guys but sold squat on titles like Mirrors Edge and the salvaged Brutal Legend.
It's part of the reason I've sacked off the X360. Having to pay for something that the PC and PS3 can do for nothing and is a fundamental part of contemporary gaming, just seems like another piss take. By all means charge for other services if the consumers wants it, they will pay. But paying for online play is quite insulting. But obviously, the masses are happy to pay so what do I know?
Couple this with talk of abolishing the pre-owned market where it seems the tables will turn and we'll be the ones being pre-0wnd! with console locked games and I can see a great big "F! you" being pointed at the publishers and gamers looking elsewhere for there fix or abandoning the hobby entirely.

I've briefly skimmed over this, it's been written by an anti - fan boy for a start.

What it comes down to, for me, is that if I want to play a game, regardless of who published it I will.


The ME3 DLC wasn't bad at all, I really enjoyed learning more about the Prothean's fall.

Scrutinised for what? Half the games on my shelf are EA and they're almost always better made and polished than the competition.

I can honestly say the 3 most recent games ive bought SSX, Kingdoms of Amalur and ME3 have all been good.

They are no worse than Ubisoft or Acti IMO.
