Yar but my first playthrough of ME3 was with Ashley and because it happened to her first when I saw it happen to Alenko it was meh. He's still a whinging whiny sexual predator who undresses me with his eyes.

Aye. I liked it meself, thought of ME3 itself as the ending, not just the last few cutscenes. Can see why others don't like it but every comments section of every site is filled to the brim with whining mentallers. And as for raising money to have the ending changed? Get a grip, lads. Way to go in dismissing the stereotype of gamers as sad, immature teenage boys.

This is probably the best thing I've read about it. Even if you don't like the ending, the rest of the game was amazing so the amount of complaining is a bit much.

Not played Me3 yet so I can't comment on whether I'd get on with the ending or not. That said, if it felt like things have been cut short or left open deliberately for dlc then I would have something to say. I hated how that was done with some of Me2's story threads.

Tbh, I've heard 3/4 different stories surrounding the issue so I don't know quite what to believe at the mo.

Well, after what is a kick-in-the-balls of an ending it does say 'Don't worry... there will be lots of DLC!!'. But the ending does wrap up in some small way and you are plonked back on the Normandy post final mission so I would suspect that DLC will be, once again, etra characters or mission leading up to the final act.

Oh it definitely ends. There is an ending.
If in doubt, put the kettle on.

The ending is nowhere near as bad as the trolls are makig out. Its not ideal but still.

But CT no idea how it took you 40 odd hours to finish it, i must have been inadvertantly rushing after all.

Every mission, including side missions, has conversation tattle back on the Normandy. I also visited the Cotadel more than is healthy.

Anyone notice how Ash went from looking like a burns victim to a Loreal Model over the course of the games?

The space hamster is a homage to the space hamster that featured in Baldurs Gate......his name was Boo

In ME2, Tali sometimes says "Go for the optics, Chiktikka! Go for the optics!" when using her combat drone which is a reference to Baldur's Gate line: "Go for the eyes, Boo! Go for the eyes!" too.

I have come to the conclusion that the best way to play Mass Effect would be 1 through 3, in a row, straight through and just the once. Never go back and do things differently. Never discuss other people's experiences. Then you don't see the holes and the joins and the patchwork and we'd hold it up as the greatest game ever made.

In other words, Bioware should've gone with a linear game trilogy ala Gears.

No, not at all. No game has ever been made like this, with the callbacks and the references. It's amazing. Just sayin it'd be more "pure" if you didn't go check what would have happened if you did things differently.
If in doubt, put the kettle on.
