Shit game in gets even shitter shocker.

I hate when developers have an idea, then just don't know when to give it up. I'm floating and i've got no weapons.. and the fucks keep killing me as I'm supposed to defend until something or other wakes up.. it was fun for about 2 seconds half an hour ago.. oh and no checkpoints?

So it's first person melee combat in zero gravity.. who the fuck thought that was a good idea?

I have no idea which part you are talking about, but I'm pushing through on Delta difficulty and I'm just waiting for that brick wall that is going to make me give up

I played this game on Hard & i thought the section you are talking about inside the alien craft in Zero gravity was fcuking awesome, you're playing on easy & still bashing
the controller on your face trying to get through it.... alarm bells are ringing bob.

Lol. It's rubbish.

Let me spell it out.

First person view.

Free floating 3d space.

Unarmed combat..

It's like a recipe for disaster...

Even Worrall Thompson would have second thoughts about passing those ingredients through the check point without paying.

Ohh Bob another game you're not very good at so its obviously rubbish even though the rest of the gaming community think its brilliant & enjoyed it without spazzing out....

"I CANT PLAY THIS GAME, WHY DOES IT KEEP MAKING ME USE MY BRAIN!!"

I'm beginning to think gaming isn't for you, or maybe stick to ones that are more on your level...

But I can play the game.. and have done.. what's this bit? about 2/3s of the way through the game?

The thing is I readily admit to not being brilliant at games.. As long as the difficulty setting is low enough though I can generally bumble through.. which I have done.. until poor game mechanics bring me a croper.. even the FAQ that I viewed advises hiding in a corner and punching them out when they get close enough.. great idea for an FPS.

I used the radar to see where they were, backed up, used the shotgun when they rushed at me to kill em, or a melee attack when they got too close.... what's the problem?.

I dont understand how you're struggling with games recently?, its like my granddads been given a 360 and a copy of Ninja Gaiden for Christmas!.

As much as I can say that I played it on PC and had relatively the same success as Hollywooda in firing through it, I know exactly what Bob means. It's a section that is very counter intuitive. Not impossible but not designed too well to accommodate the first person perspective. Navigation is difficult and the game can be unforgiving in combat anyway.

There's a reason there's no zero-gravity bits in Crysis 2 after all. Then again, they did kinda botch the campaign with the sequel.

counter intuitive?, I imagine floating in zero gravity being attacked inside an alien craft would be a bit difficult in real life, that's probably why it is in the game.

maybe they should of just made more levels where you walk down a linear corridor shooting people in the face.

Of course not but the game doesn't exactly make that level work on logical principle anyway so it seems senseless to me that they decided to make it so difficult. I imagine running and jumping whilst also trying to reload would be a fucking nightmare in real life but thank fuck the developers decided that frustration was needless. It's a simulated, super powered fantasy back by mediocore science fiction. It doesn't need to pass it's self off as anything else and it sure as shit doesn't need a bothersome zero gravity section to be as difficult as all hell to navigate and fight in.

Plus it just goes on far too long.. it's ok for a bit.. but why does it have to go on and on and on.. all the while the skills and equipment you've been using don't work any more.. there's no map, there's no equipment lying around.. I get why.. just don't make a rubbish bit and then make it worse by making it out stay it's welcome.

but its not difficult?, they die very, very easy, i think one punch or a shotgun shell?, i didn't die once going through that part & i personally thought it was one of the highlights of
the game overall, your blowing this (and bobs cock) all out of proportion! :D

Exactly. Everything that makes the game wonderfully unique and full of diverse choice goes right out the window at this point. That's a section that should be deftly done but here I think Crytek stumbled a bit.
