Even though pre-orders are sh1t, I’ll be amazed if it doesn’t sell out over the weekend. Games are either not strong or available elsewhere but you'll get the techy lovers buying a £425 Sony blu-ray player 1st and foremost.

I can see this sustaining sales for a while, then, once the techy's are done a price drop will lure the casual gamers.

Sony know they haven’t got the monopoly they had in the gaming industry and are hoping to get a tight grip on the movie side with the Blu-Ray.

Personally i think the Nintendo launch was awful,i mean you advertise a product again and again and make people go crazy for it and then they find out after 3-4 months of waiting and wanting,they have to wait more,were as sony are shipping enough for everyone who wants one,to me that is better.
As everyone who wants one is going to be happy on march 23rd,unlike dec 8th.
220kunits,i bet they will all be gone by tuesday.

Well to me Sony is the biggy,the main games people. I loved my PS2 to bits and had 100's of games for it and spent alot of my time on. It was the main thing for me,like 4 of us would have pro evo tornys all through the weekend,it would be great.getting the PS3 will just make me feel im back to where i should be with the ulitmate gaming machine.
I had a xbox 1 when i had my ps2 and i swear i played 3-4 times max,i only had cod/championship manager 02/03 and some NBA game.
Dont get me wrong i love my x360,it is great and i have had alot of fun playing and getting achievments etc,but at heart im a sony man.lol you prolly wont understand where im coming from,but i know i will be really happy with it and thats what it is about aint it.
Im not botherd about blu ray at all,as i have HD DVD drive for xbox,but im sorted for which ever one wins the format war.
And now its going to have all the chat features and a good online service,plus the Home world thing.

That is the thing,i was in game the over day with my mate and we were looking at the PS3 launch line up and i remember standing there and thinking i dont want any of these.
But i am tempted to get cod3 for it because i consider myself pretty good at it on 360 and i can jump straight into it online on ps3 and get a good rank quite quick,plus im hearing great things about Resistance, plus motor storm.Im really excited about it,im going to get it at 7am.

PS3 COD3 from what I’ve seen doesn’t look as good as the 360's so bare that in mind.

Slightly off topic but I haven’t seen any pods up and running in stores though?

Hmm it does look amazig on x360 in hd.im slightley anoyyed as i have to buy the hd cables for 18 quid.
