Sooo, I read somewhere the required install for this is twenty odd gig, is that right?

If so it means investing in a new HDD (only got 20 minus the six or so for system data MS don't tell you about 'till after you've got the console) which completely puts me off tbh.

22gig is for all 3 discs, but knowing that only 2 disc have SP on, youd only need 14. Plus its reccomnded but not a requirement.

Ahh ok, cheers for clearing that up dude. Don't know if I'd want to play it without the install tbh, sounds like a pretty decent game but nothing over special apart from the graphics. Still, at 14 I'd have to pretty much delete every little thing on there to install it. Think I'll be giving it a miss :(

You can install it one disc at a time anyway tom.

I think they've got the pacing spot on in this game with the introduction of new areas and different enemies at just the right points so it doesn't feel as if you're just plodding over the same ground.

As for the enemy AI i thought it was awesome because of the way they use cover, drag themselves away if they've been shot in the leg and are quite good at attacking you from the front whilst some little douche flanks you and attacks you from the side.

Played the demo, looks nice enough but I didn't feel anything special here. Felt a bit like bioshock without the character and boarderlands
Without the RPG depth, plus I know from reading reviews the story is shit, I think if this wasn't I.d. it wouldn't of got half the attention it got, shame.

yeah the end was a bit dissapointing and i hated the way i couldn't go back and finish off the last 2 races to get the achievement.

the ending reminded me of borderlands terrible ending, it wasn't as bad as borderlands but it was up there.

overall though i loved this game, game of 2011 for me so far. it somehow felt like a refreshing new ip and at the same time like an old school traditional id shooter. i thought it was brave of id to include as much racing/driving in the game but i think it paid off and gave the game some needed variety.

i thought the level design was excellent and the pacing all throughout the game was spot on and the overall atmosphere of the game just did it for me.

Yeah, agree with you there on most points, but at the same time, even though I'm glad I've played it, it's still forgettable.

I liked it a lot actually but felt its setting was too similar to Fallout 3 and Borderlands to be truly memorable.

Its still a great shooter, just not a classic.
