It is in the game.. it wasn't in the demo.

Had some awesome races in this today.

Really loving my RS Focus.

Had a lovely moment at Suzuka following that guy in the Mazda RX-7 Sprint, whose become my personal nemesis, and pressured him into a mistake at the hairpin to take the win on the last lap.

No more than holding a regular pad. You don't have to hold it out at arm's length or anything.

My official Top Gear/ Stock Cee'd time is 1.44.720.

Consider the gauntlet thrown down.

Of course Ash must be cheating ;)

Wow, The Rivals mode is really addictive.

Still, even I can't spend the entire night beating Mr Howdle's times.. My bed is calling.

Just hit level 30.

Triple post!

I've put a tuning set up on my store front for the Lambo Gallardo Superleggera.

It sorts out the brakes and gears so it accelerates faster and stops better and it also tunes out a fair bit of the understeer. It's a very drivable S class car if you're struggling with turning TCS off on the faster cars. Also helped me set the 924th fastest time on Sunset Raceway.

That's a very creative line into the first corner at the Top Gear track.

Consider your F Class time well and truly smashed.. thanks for the 'cheevo.

That is all ;)

Nice to see you followed my ghost around long enough to notice.

Haven't touched rivals since day one, but will be happy to beat you back as soon as I get a chance ;)

What happened on Friday Dan?

As fun as racing your ghost is I'm looking forward to some actual on track action.

I was on for a few hours (we finish at 1pm on Fridays), but I'd had a tough week (late, late hours), and fell asleep. At the wheel. In my racing seat. I woke up ten minutes later high-revving first gear against a wall and decided it would probably be best if I got a nap in. I'm assuming you came on later? I just wasn't in the mood by the evening, I'm sure you know how it is.

Happy to give you a live race this week sometime, though. Just let me know when you're available.

Lol. I have the occasional week like that. I've fallen asleep in my chair several times too.

I should be on pretty much every night this week dude.

Anybody had a crack at the football mode yet? So far it's the only remotely iffy thing I've come across, maybe it was just the match I was in but it resembled a cross between a pile-up and a school yard footy match with the ball bouncing idly on top of the scrum of cars in the corner of the pitch. I'm happy to have a pop at beating some times in rivals, yet to touch the mode yet though.

There's a reason why they normally get professional and stunt drivers in when they do that feature on the TV show.

The Top Gear track is much better utilized on this than in GT 5. Not putting the Cee'd in was a massive own goal.

Anyhow the Rivals thing is really addictive and a good way of getting bonus cash quickly. I swear I was getting 100,000 for beating some of Mr Howdle's times.

I'm getting the hang of manual gears.. The last corner on Road America took some nailing but generally I'm getting a better in gear acceleration. Ash gave me a very hand tip about short shifting on the exit of tight corners which keeps the back end in check. I'm really getting more out of it with TCS off and manual gears. ABS is still a must though.

I'm a bit the other way around. I turn TCS on in cars that would have it in real life. A lot of the racing cars use TCS, so the 'realistic driving' experience involves switching it on. I never, ever use ABS, though, since finding the sweet-spot with braking is one of my favourite feelings. My settings differ from car to car, but right now I'm driving with everything off, manual gears, with clutch (7-speed stick-shift, not flappy-paddles.)

Naturally, this is just for the 'sim' experience and you'd have to be a nut-job to try and set competitive times with it. I have blown up my gearbox several times by accidentally shifting down into 1st instead of 3rd. Very hard then, but very, very satisfying.
