No. It was a classic racing incident.

I missed the race on Sunday (f the first I've missed this season :( ) Due to an unexpected but great trip with the wife and kids for a few days, Anyway I know the result of the race but did anything great happen? Who drove well? Bad? Any pitstop mistakes?

Vettel threw it off the track. Scheuy threw it off the track. They both recovered to finish in the points.

Webber drove ok, Alonso drove ok, Hamilton drove the wheels off. He was over taking all over the shop.

Button retired with hydraulic problems.. A cracking race.

The German GP in 90 seconds

Well worth a watch if you've got a spare erm.. 90 seconds.

I've come over all disaffected with F1 recently. Visited Silverstone during all 3 days of the GP and my opinion was 'Meh!', I've watched McLaren win the last two races and really can't be bothered. Next year I'll be watching next to none, as the Beeb and Bernie have screwed me over.

I'm hoping my mood about it improves, but I see no light at the end of the tunnel.

The races have been exciting on the whole, but the season is done already. There is no way one driver is going to dominate the 2nd half like Seb did the 1st, he's already a 2x WDC. I'm not getting any extra excitement than I have in the past 3-4 years. More than when MS & Ferrari were cleaning up, but there were still points of interest, if you knew what to look for.

But my major issues lie with where F1 is going. The experience for the circuit going fan is abysmal in my opinion, even paying extra for the Club Silverstone hospitality didn't improve things for me this year. I certainly won't be paying to attend the British GP again anytime soon, so a foreign race might be the only hope of salvaging any 'fever'. But that's assuming I even continue following the sport. The TV set up is going to be a disaster for me next year, with only half the races available live, I might just not bother at all.

In a way, it was Benjamin (my son, 5 years old) that really triggered my dissatisfaction, during our weekend at the British GP he asked 'When can we get near the cars?' he looked absolutely crest fallen when i tried to explain that it wasn't the same as the BTCC races we've been to. And I knew exactly how he felt. F1 likes to be 'exclusive', well I think I might have had enough of being excluded.

I almost broke down this year when McLaren messed up Monaco for Lewis, it just made me soooo mad.

I could only compare it to my own life, where if i got paid that much money for that kind of dream job, i wouldnt be making a massive hash of it.

Kind of ruined the rest of the season, i am still watching but its more out of a previous loyalty to my favourite sport than a real passion. I hope after the 3 week break McLaren and Ferrari get their houses in order and contest the rest of the races, I am looking forward to Spa for this especially.

The problem this season has just been the relentless consistency of Vittel's driving, Out of the 11 races so far Red Bull have one 6, But it's the fact that all 6 was one by 1 driver namely Vittel, Webber has yet to win a race, So I believe that Ferrari and McLaren are being competitive (although both have made in race mistakes, McLaren especially), We are just witnessing a superb season from a fantasic driver, And let's not forget Vittel has failed to win in the last 3 races.

Vettel has been consistant in the the fastest car over one lap.

Thanks to Mclaren dropping the odd tactical ball and Lewis getting a bit frustrated the problem has been that no one has mounted a consistant challenge. Every time Vettel hasn't won he's increased his championship lead.

Having said that this year has delivered some classic races and some brilliant on track action as well as some decisive tactical/pit battles.. Considering how boring it could've been when one driver/car dominates it's been a vintage season despite Vettel's finger.

Oh and it's 'won 6' not 'one 6' Sambo.

It's "consistent" not "consistant" Bob.

Fnar.
If in doubt, put the kettle on.

Your right, the racing has been good everywhere in the field, apart from the fact that Vettel needs to have a 6 week break rather than 3 to make it into a real race for the championship from now on, rather than a pretend one.
I am still grumpy about it, didnt help having the beeb decide to give up on their responsibilities for next year.
