To be fair to Pegg, his last bunch of roles havent been all that similar.
Hot Fuzz (uptight, straight role), Burke and Hare (murderous idiot role), MI:3 (nebbish PC geek), Star Trek (embittered gripey engineer), he didnt really play the same type of character in any of em. Thats certainly more range than Adam Sandler or Will Smith has displayed recently.
