Ginga I can happily say the little bastard gets it and its quite interesting how, I don't want to spoil that part on ya. Can't wait to see the TV version, mind you it was in like book 3 so it's some time away.

It's Official. Production for Game of Thrones Season 2 is set to begin 7/25 in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

It was good.. I enjoyed the 'King of the North' bit.. and the wall.. that needs more time spent on it.

I rather enjoyed the way in which things are finally getting rolling and what I presume are now important landmarks in the story have been firmly established and set up for next season. How things move on at the wall and what they learn about the wight walkers is what excites me most though there's no denying the appearance of dragons is a great tease.

This series was some good shiz, though I was disappointed by the two characters being written out in the last 2 episodes.

George RR Martin has no respect for his characters... You can never be sure who he's going to kill off next in the books.

I think that's one of the things I love about it though...too many writers clutch onto their characters faithfully and don't have the balls to do some interesting storytelling by killing them and leaving you in absolute suspense as to who's next. In a world like The Game of Thrones, it should be violent and dangerous and nobody should be safe.

You just described the atmosphere of the books.

Got a coach trip to London in 2 days, then same trip back. That's a lot of hours sat on a coach, that's gonna be GoT reading time.

Finishing book 3 at the mo, that's when the turds hit the turbine. I found book 2 a flat after the crescendo of book 1, though there is more magic and at least three more dragons.

Don't suppose you got book 3 in two parts like I did?

Should you have a spoiler warning up, no?

!Spoiler!

Probably should have. Traditional spoiler warnings are overrated. From now on, I'm going to merely obscure my spoilers, thus:

"...at least three more dragons/robots/porn stars/sea cucumbers/top secret government facilities."

Actually, there is at least one former porn star who will take an even more prominent role in the next series. Did anyone spot her?
