I hear they are going all "Battlefield" with destructible environments & open playing fields?, still won’t be a patch on Battlefield 3.

I just hope they create a better Single player campaign, I think Infinity Ward are a very creative bunch but they seem obsessed! with pleasing 15 year old boys by constantly throwing over the top action at you (and fcuking grenades), they need to learn that sometimes less is more.

The only thing I'd want is dedicate servers please so the multiplayer doesn't turn into a lag fest of host advantage.

I think the trouble is that they been obsessed with upping the anty from CoD4 which was the perfect balance of set piece and shooting.. Treyarch completely missed the point and kept throwing in ridiculous set pieces and vehicle bits and stuff without paying attention to what made CoD4 so good.

Treyarch have no idea how to structure a game, they've just seen every Hollywood blockbuster & tried to emulate that big moment!, but in every second of their game.

Consequently the game is nonstop action, but without any downtime or change of pace, you soon become immune to it & bored.

In the BlOps campaign? Yeah.. it's far too broken up with stupid vaguely interactive bits.. I prefer something a bit more sand boxy with plenty of shooting.. I don't want to pretend to be flying a plane or abseiling or swimming or feeding someone glass.. I preferred B:BC2's approach. Here's where you start, here's where you end. Shoot everything in between.

MW3's gonna be so bad.
The Infinity Ward aren't even the real IW, it'd be like replacing Alex Ferguson, the Head Coach and half the team and still expecting Man U to win trophies. Doesn't work that way.

Even Activision, the cash cow kings, doubted the Franken-Ward's skills and added a futher 2 devs to the fray.
It's gonna be just plain terrible.

And there's rumours floating around about Pay2Play multiplayer... That sucks. Although it might keep some of the riff-raff out?

Here are the rumoured info leaks for the game.
SPOILER ALERT!
If anybody cares that is.
Multiple sources have told Kotaku that the game will be released on November 8, as previous rumours have suggested.

Following on moments after the events of Modern Warfare 2, the game's story will see players travel the world as both returning and all-new characters, including a Russian agent, SAS operative and AC-130 gunner.

The 15-mission-long campaign will start with an invasion of Manhattan by the Russian army, and later cover Dubai, London, Paris, India and Sierra Leone.

Story presentation similar to previous games in the series, with short story sequences and regular cuts to new locations. Playable vehicular segments will include tanks and an AC-130 gunship.

Co-operative mode Spec Ops will return with two mission types, Survival and Mission, while the online multiplayer component will feature a "chunky list" of maps.

The title has been co-developed by Infinity Ward, Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software, with the game largely complete and finishing touches now being applied.

While Activision has yet to officially announce the game, it recently told investors that a new Call of Duty title would be revealed in the coming weeks.

Multiplayer maps and locations for Modern Warfare 3 have been revealed, according to a report.

Sources told Kotaku that the game will ship with 20 maps for regular online play, with locations including Brooklyn, New York, Paris and the London Underground.

Arenas in Special Ops mode have also been listed, and will see missions split up into Mission and Survival-based modes.

Mission will be specific objectives similar to Spec Ops in Modern Warfare 2, while Survival will have players take on waves of enemies.

It was also suggested that the core online multiplayer experience will offer new gameplay features.

The first details for Modern Warfare 3 were leaked earlier today, including story events, campaign locations and new characters.

The map list for Modern Warfare 3 in full:

Multiplayer Maps:

Alpha
Alps
Bootleg
Bravo
Brooklyn
Carbon
Coast
Dome
Exchange
Hardhat
Interchange
Lambeth
Meteora
Mogadishu
Paris
Plaza 2
Radar
Seatown
Underground
Village
Spec Ops Modes

Survival Maps:

Carbon
Dome
Radar
Seatown
Village

Mission:

Civilian Rescue
Flood the Market
Invisible Threat
Little Bro's
Out of Africa
No Fly Zone
Wing Man

If true it's good to Specs Ops making a return. Shame they couldn't be arsed making more Spec Ops missions for MW2 though.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 represents a major step forward for the FPS genre, so says Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg.

Following the release of the game's debut trailer last night, Hirshberg hailed the work of twin developers Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games.

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is by far the most epic Call of Duty experience yet," he insisted.

"The teams at Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games have worked tirelessly to create for the Call of Duty player a scale that is unimaginable with a level of polish and creativity that will push the genre forward.

"The passion and energy of our developers is reflected in everything about the title. From the innovative gameplay, to the cinematic intensity, to the most advanced multiplayer ever, Modern Warfare 3 will raise the bar for this already incredible franchise."

The publisher has also confirmed that, as leaked earlier this month, the game will be available on 8th November.

"Most epic"

"A scale that is unimaginable"

For the love of all that is holy, shut the fuck up.
If in doubt, put the kettle on.
