Im hoping both Thor and Cap do well on thier own terms comercially. Id hate to see an Avengers thats just Tony Stark with his mates, cus hes the most popular with the punters. (ala Wolverine in Xmen 3).

ha..its a good point VA...thing is the reliance on wolverine in 1 and 2 wasnt so bad as a) they are much better films than 3 and b) they feel like Wolverines story. As for 3, his arc was effectively over and they still brought him to the forefront for no good reason.

Because he's popular.

The emotional impact of Jean Grey having to die would have been far greater had it been Cyclops who had to kill her, as opposed to Wolverine, in my opinion.
