Test Drive Unlimited on XBL

Postby currantbun on Fri Feb 23, 2007 10:14 pm

Hey Guys!! In the last few weeks i've finally got connected to XBL. It's great but i've got a problem with Test Drive Unlimited, when i go on-line i start with nothing. Do i have to drive round the whole island again and buy new cars??

Hmm... unlikely. Have you registered a new account with xbox live? (A different gamertag than the one you used to play offline?)

If so, you do, because gamesaves are linked to gamertags. If not, ask someone who actually has the game ;)

When i got my 360 at xmas i chose a gamer tag - currantbun and got my self a little green head as a pic. Now i'm recently on XBL it says i have 2 gamertags, same name but different my pic is slightly different and orange. All my saves are on my original gamertag but i can't play on-line, however on my XBL gamertag i can play on-line but i start at the beginning. Is this just how it is??

So basically, it'll cost ya. About £45 just to complete the above steps, and even then you'll have wasted up to £40 on the original account.

Do your achievements really mean up to £85 to you?

So the moral of the story is to go live as soon as you get that little box of joy.... Think i'll just start from the beginning again. Thanks for going to all that trouble MEEX. Another question, why does it take 2-3 hours for me to download demos?

What's your internet speed? And how large are the demos you want?

Yeah the size determines the speed of the download. based on my speed 2mb i can d/l a 400-500mb file in about 20mins and a 1 gb file in about 1-2 hours.just leave it on and go to sleep. XD

Crackdown seemed to take an age to download. That was over 1G. So you just click, click, click on what you want and leave it to run? It's too noisy to do that overnight but i could do it through the day, any chance of it catching fire?
