I had an auntie in Nokia who hooked me up, not too bad to be honest, much preferred the long nokia that played mp3s though.

I recently got a CDI game from a charity shop - i dont have the 'console' whats it like?

My history is rubbish

used Dad's work computers for basic games for years - some DOS running thing about the same time as a BBC but made by IBM - i would have been under 10 so i dont know what it was called. It had those hilarious large floppy floppy discs

got a Master system - it was ace

then all was quiet for years - finally got an N64 played goldeneye forever - this console dissappeared - i never can remember where it went.

Had a home pc that played nothing except diablo 2 and starcraft. - which were actually the best two games so not a big problem.

Then one day Game the shop sent some advertising through the post about this new console called an xbox and on a complete whim i went out and bought one with my own money (had started working by then) and got halo with it - went straight to my mates and we played halo till we had finished it. Then went mental and bought a silly number of xbox games and then chipped cracked etc etc xbox became the player of everything - there was nothing it could not do.

Then 360 announced and old xbox was forgotten new shiny 360 bought and the rest is history.

I had a dream last night they where selling brand new Sega Megadrives in Comet for £10. I would've bought one but I couldn't find a scart lead.

The CDI was the ill conceived bastard spawn of an agreement by Phillips to team up with nintendo to try and take on the sega mega cd. It was essentially a dvd player that used what looked like a dvd control with a joystick to play a series of games. It is notorious for the games, hotel mario and zelda wand of gamelon, two of the worst nintendo games EVER. Ours was stolen and I actually feel bad for the burglers, you'd have to pay someone to take it off your hands.

I have a feeling we got a playstation with the dosh, although it did have some fun games, burn cycle was quite a good point and click game, escape from cyber city was a manga themed shoot em up of impossible difficulty and we had a game called surf city which was a weird life simulator where every click triggered a beach boys song.
