Viva la HD gaming! I've just got a bitchin' 32" HDTV and ... damn, the rumors weren't exagerated - everything looks fantastic.

I'm so happy right now.

Very nice indeed, but you owe me £20 - this makes me unendingly happy. You have no idea.

Well, I just got a DS Lite.

Yep, I'm that up to date. For some reason my brain has been screaming at me 'Well, if you can't get a Wii get the next best thing'. Unfortunatly it didn't register that the next best thing is a bottle of Scotch.
I'm Apple, Byte me.

My best present was watching little Benjamin find his new toys in the toy box each morning (23rd, 24th, 25th). His unbridled joy when discovering each new item really gave me a lift, and it's a great antidote to Xmas cynacism (spl?).

A close second was the Demotivators calendar. Favourite month - December - 'If you wish upon a falling star, your wish may come true. Unless it's a meteor plunging to earth that will kill all life, then your pretty much hosed.'
Your horizons are only limited by your imagination.

In the spirit of efficiency, i'd better get back to work....

Those things are absolutly amazing, and that wishes one is by far the best one they've made, in my opinion. But you're forgetting the best bit on that 'Wishes' one:

'If you wish upon a falling star, your wish may come true. Unless it's a meteor plunging to earth that will kill all life, then your pretty much hosed. Unless you wished for death by meteor'

Another great gift this Christmas (although my brother got it, not me. But I still get to watch it) was Firefly and Serenity of DVD. Damn brilliant - it's a real shame it got cancelled so early on.

Already got them (I am a leaf on the wind, watch me soar! shame the program didn't  ) but did get some good documentary stuff about the Apollo programme and a few books that should keep me going for a while (anyone else read any of the new Legacy of the Force Star Wars books? No, oh well, the jesters at work must be right....).

Welcolm back CJX, by the way. I trust S.A. was as great as you hoped :D

It was really good, but we didn't do many things that I would have enjoyed. I climbed Table Mountain, though :).

Feel free to go back on topic now.

Yeah - certainly a program that should have kept on going. Its just awesome - the premise, the directing, acting, stories etc.

And that’s a great line from Wash, but I think I prefer "Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!"
