my brother has a ds and gets this ngamer magazine which is about average in quality but the best thing about this magazine is the rating system. they use percentages for games and have a top 50 list of games and up date them every week so you get a clear definition of the best game there is on wii. now i realise this might create a black hole in sorting out all games that have been and gone, but it seems that the rating system you have only seems to be replaced when a sequel comes out.

1. What's the difference between 87 and 88 per cent?
2. There are no good games on the Wii.
3. Our rating system has been the same since issue 1, therefore it has never been "replaced when a sequel comes out", so what are you on about?

NGamers bollocks. I used to get it. ONM is actually better, even though its official.

@ Meex

1. In terms of reviewing games, like.
2. Bullshit
3. Maybe, it's hard to tell. One day I offered to go through all the mags and compile a list of all the games we reviewed and make a big list like what's in Play. Then we went three weekly.

There is. No More Heroes.

We need to learn when to say "enough", rather than gluttonously devouring more and more of the same thing through sheer force of habit.

I love that when someone new does come on here, nine times out of ten they get shot down for even trying to suggest something or express their views and never post again.

Oh, and Tim: set an example please. The magazine states that readers should head over to the forum and have their say, and when someon does you make them real unwelcome? That's a great way to bring in new members who could potentially contribute to the magazine, which something it seems to be heavily reliant on; without all the forumite quotes it would be a hell of a lot thinner.

Just because he types and spells like a mouth breather doesn't mean he doesn't have a good point. It was obvious - to me anyway - what he meant, and the "recommended" section does need updating more often, which is something I've brought up before.

And there are good games on the Wii.

No. I've no idea who he is. There was just no need to be a dick about it really, was there? If we wanted someone to shoot the guy down and tell him he's wrong, we'd give Cerebral Wolf a bell.

I wasn't being a dick about it, I was giving him some answers based on my opinion.

That's not an opinion. That's being a dick. Unless you weren't clever enough to work out what he meant. I worked it out, and I'm no Einstein.

I had suggested a change to the rating system before. I understand Tim's point about differences of 1 or 2 percent. I still believe wholeheartedly that a rating out of ten is far better than that of five, but at the end of the day, does it really matter? Surely we ascertain the quality of the game from the review itself, rather than the score?

Plus, the little conclusion at the end of the review often points out whether the game is the best of its kind or a sub-standard version of a better game.
Bob: Nah.. Bill Hicks is over rated.. A by product of being dead.

CuriousTurtle: They should release him on PS3, then you'd love him.

That's not being a dick, that was a question. But I put it to you sir, now who is being a dick? Ahhh...

Time to be like Word mag - ditch scores althogether. Go for us maturer people. Bite the hand that feeds some.
If in doubt, put the kettle on.
