Does anybody have dreams about videogames?

Postby whiskytangocharlie on Tue Feb 17, 2009 12:09 am

Does anybody have dreams about videogames? Or is it just me.

Don't get me wrong, I have a whole bunch of other things to dream about but I remember when I first started playing Oblivion, all I was dreaming about was....

.....yep.. Oblivion.

Is this rational?

No... You're nuts.

Yes I have, the first I can remember being the original Tombraider... I was stuck and spending an awful lot of time thinking about it.

There have been other game related dreams since then... :?

I had a Halo dream once.

Imagine my disapointment when I woke up to discover I wasnt a 7 foot tall cybernetically enhanced human war-machine.....just your run of the mill fantastically well endowed Scotsman.

I dreamt about Lemming for weeks. Although "dreamt" is probably a misnomer - I lay awake in bed till 5am watching Lemmings march ever forward around my bedroom - on the walls, on the bookcases, on the stereo, across my brother's face, down the curtains, on my bed, on my head, IN MY EYES. They never stopped marching - they were unstoppable, they were eternal, they were jackbooted minature mammals terrorising my little mind.
If in doubt, put the kettle on.

When Star Ocean: Till the end of time came out, I was constantly playing it but there was one one day when I played it for even longer. When I went to sleep, everytime I closed my eyes I could only see the guy you went running about and attacking things. When I fell asleep all this weird crazy stuff happened to him (I can't remember what) and then I got up and puked. I hated that game for a while after that.

I find that if I play all day I can sort of dream about it.. Or at least think about it before I drift off.

This is nothing new.. When I worked at Tesco I'd dream I was still checking shopping out.. And this was old school when you had to punch the prices in BY HAND!

We need to learn when to say "enough", rather than gluttonously devouring more and more of the same thing through sheer force of habit.

I remember when the original Red Alert Came out. That was the first time I ever had my PC upgraded; from a 486 to a Pentium 60 (WOW), just so as I could play it. And then I used to get up a six in the morning to play it for an hour before I went to school.

Happy days.

I know, I've had a few nice dreams about Liara and Ashley.

I've played it through three times so I've 'had' both of 'em. My first playthrough I missed that plotline out, but then I bought a guide and got into it proper.
