Fable 2 free??

Just checking the marketplace and judging from the size of the download it aint the full game, does anybody know what it is?

Yeah. It's available in an episodic nature now.. the first part is free.. (A bit like the first hit of smack.. ask Gug) like a demo.. the rest is chargeable.

The funny thing is, they think they've got Fable II for free, then when they discover they've just got a demo and they have to pay for the rest of the game, they'll probably have to spend more to get the other episodes than they would have spent had they bought the game on disc. I love stupid people who don't read what's put in front of them.

Especially when you can get the GOTY edition for about 12 squid these days...

I actually downloaded this yonks ago, only played it recently. One of the first messages that popped up when I was playing, was 'You have unlocked an Achievment only available on Episode 2. Please download Edpside 2 to unlock this Achievement' That must of popped up about 10 times in the whole demo/episode.

I remember reading Peter Molenyeux slatting demos and how he prefers episodes. This is a demo, just labelled differently.

It is a good idea in theory; a demo where you can carry on from where you left off when you buy the full game.
