The major factor with this gen has been graphics but am I the only one who think Okami is a lot more nicer to look out that any other game out there?

In my opinion, Okami's graphics are timeless.

Exactly. Just shows that last gen made use of what was available to make the best possible game while this gen often seems very uninspired in terms of visuals and gameplay.

I think Okami is a shining example of video game visuals but I don't think last gen was any different in terms of generic rubbish, you just don't remember them and when the next gen comes along you'll forget about the crap in this gen too. That said, there hasn't really been a game quite like Okami, both visually and game play wise this gen. Wait until the final few years of this gen, then you'll see some real gem's come out of the woodwork and as always I remind people to keep an eye on indie games. I mean has anyone seen ZenoClash and its dreamscape visuals? There's also rumor its coming to 360 from pc too. Or what about Dust: An Elysian Tail and Machinarium?

Such as? I'm not having a go, I just cannot remember for the life of me. Only a few spring to mind, Splinter Cell, FFX, Halo. What am I missing?

This gen, I've only counted those on 360 BTW, we've had GTAIV, GoW, Halo 3, Fallout 3, Fable 2, Mass Effect, CoD4, Portal(Orange Box), Dead Space, The Darkness, Left 4 Dead, Bioshock, Oblivion, Crackdown, Dead Rising, within the first 4 years. Only slightly more over 4 years but that's arguably because the tech is harder to get to grips with with dev's contending with HD visuals etc. Worryingly though, most of them are shooters.

Never mind, I'm still waiting on ME2, Thief4 and the next Oddworld. And if at least one of them lives up to my expectations then this gen will be complete for me.
