Those three horrible red lights

Postby Digzter on Wed Mar 29, 2006 1:06 pm

Back in December two days after getting hold of my 360 I got the dreaded 3 red lights.

I was using the wireless controller and when I plugged in the headset the red lights appeared.

The console got replaced and I've been having a great time ever since, however last week I got the three red lights again.

This time I was using the same controller & headset and it failed after I plugged in the play & charge kit.

Has anybody else experienced the same sort of thing?

Is there a limit to the amount of things the 360 can handle?

It's already there, but it's taking forever to come back.

They apparently have a shortage of replacement units.

The withdrawal symtoms are horrendous, at least the first time I didn't know what I was missing. But it's been 2 weeks without Ghost Recon now and none of my mates have got a 360 yet so I can't even go round to theirs.

I thought the 360 bugs stuff was all fuss over nothing but last week my @"indestructible" 360 crashed in the final set-piece of Ghost Recon. Thankfully, no red lights.

Only time i ever see the red lights is when i turn on the machine before i have wired it to the TV.
Other than that, my 360 has frozen on me a couple of times but thats it.

But then, i don't play it as much as some. It has had some good long multiplayer sessions round my mates house though.... in a small room with lots of w33d being smoked, and lots of legs giving it accidental kicks as they scramble past.

I think it has lasted quite well thus far.

CuriousTurtle: They should release him on PS3, then you'd love him.

Actually, it depend how it 'breaks'. If it's becuase you threw it out a window, or something similar, I don't think they have to replace it.

um, its a one year warranty thats a legal obligation by MS to give to all its customers in the UK as per UK law.

The 3 year one is extra... and i have it too for the record.
