Anyone know how the ps3 preorders are going?

I think the hdmi comes as standard anyway but with only 10 days to go surely they should all be gone by now?

Ireland are getting 20k units and are still taking orders, don’t know how much is allocated here but I’m sure PAL regions are getting 1mil? Can’t be that much allocation for UK?

Maybe it's just me being as poor as a church mouse, but £500 for a console with (I presume) a game or two is madness. I got change out of £400 for my Japanese one (20GB admittedly, but hey) and a couple of games, and that was steep enough in my book.

So anyway, Curley, you managed to blag one off SCEE yet?

I would like one.. just to say i have one. But im not paying that amount of money for something thats going to sit and collect dust like my ps2 did after i discovered the xbox. i would like one, im sure i will find a couple of games i want to get my hands on too... but its just such a big investment for a small collection of games.

Not yet - I'm leaving the whole thing alone for now. Kirsten's getting one on launch so the reviews will be sorted - and I'm not interesting until MGS4 so all's well.

Yeah, she gets most of the games now, since I passed the reviews over I get nowhere near as many free games (I just ring the PRs up and request an extra copy for orange). She's getting the PS3 as a Frag Doll, not as Orange's reviewer.

There are perks, but when you work in media you always get freebies. Imagine working on Loaded/FHM? They get free drugs, beer gadgets, games, DVDs concert tickets and get women who aren't fit enough to be cover models sucking you off in hope you might make them famous.
